Biography:
“In 1986 at 44 young I received a Hollywood contract as Liza Minnelli’s Official Look-a-Like. I developed my program of her material and traveled around the world entertaining and presenting motivational programs/shows. I was obese (up and down) from age 9, depressed, sick and suicidal. At age 63 I turned whole foods vegan overnight on May 07, 2007 and got healthy very quickly! I then proceeded to get certified as health coach (CHC) from Wellness Institute, certified graduate from T. Colin Campbell Foundation in Plant-Based Nutrition, and certified Food for Life Instructor by PCRM.
From 2007 – 2015 I was President of the Vegetarian Society of Utah (VSU). During that time I organized and established a monthly program and monthly potluck with the assistance of the Board, published the quarterly newsletter, and held monthly education programs with live speakers like Jeff Novick, Pam Popper, and many more.
At that same time I was also teaching weekly Food for Life Classes for PCRM, lecturing at the Community College and Hospital Outreach Seniors Programs, and teaching my Tai Chi Dragon Qigong Classes at the library and the college 3 times a week for 8 years.
When the time came to downsize and later prepare a move from St. George, UT to Boulder City, NV, I decided to slow down and give myself and my family more quality time.
I’ve owned and operated my own successful businesses most of my life and I am married to my incredible awesome Duane, have 4 grown children, 9 grown grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren! For relaxation I make whole foods plant-based (WFPB) recipes, I sew to make my own clothing, and I read mysteries and watch Tiny Houses videos!”
